📰 Big News: FishBSE Launches AI-Powered Listings for Fish, Coral & Gear!

We’re excited to announce a major upgrade on FishBSE: our brand new AI-powered listing assistant is now live!

Whether you’re selling a rare coral, a whole tank setup, or just want to list your favorite clownfish, creating a great listing just got a whole lot easier. With our new AI tool, you can snap a photo of your item, and the AI will instantly help fill out your listing—complete with suggested category, title, description, and even a price estimate!

Why Did We Build This?

At FishBSE, our goal is to make fishkeeping, buying, selling, and trading as easy and accessible as possible for the local aquarium community. We know that creating listings can be a hassle, especially for newcomers or folks who aren’t sure how to describe what they’re selling. Our AI takes out the guesswork and lets you list faster, with more confidence.

How Does It Work?

  • 1. Snap or Upload a Photo:
Just take a clear picture of your fish, coral, equipment, or dry goods.

  • 2. AI Fills Out Your Listing:
The AI analyzes your photo, identifies the category (fish, coral, etc.), suggests a descriptive title, writes a friendly description, and even provides a ballpark price estimate.

  • 3. You Review & Post:
You can edit any field, add details, and upload extra photos—then publish your listing as usual!

You stay in control: The AI never posts anything for you, it just gives you a head start.

Is It Accurate?

Our AI is trained on thousands of aquarium species and products, but it’s not perfect. You should always double-check the suggested details. Think of it as a super-smart helper—great for inspiration and speed, but you’re always the final expert!

Who Can Use It?

This feature is free for all registered FishBSE members. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’ll see a new “Try AI-powered listing” button when creating your next listing.
